Water Fountains in Nordpark

Opened in 1937, the green area that stretches west and east of Kaiserswerther Strasse presents a more geometric design than the partly English-inspired Südpark.

One of the most captivating features inside Nordpark are the water fountains that evoke a sense of tranquility and relaxation. With over 20 fountains scattered throughout the park, each one uniquely crafted, visitors are sure to find themselves mesmerized by their beauty.

The largest and most iconic fountain inside Nordpark is the Neptune Fountain. Towering high above its surrounding area, it depicts the Roman sea god, Neptune, riding on his chariot pulled by sea horses. It’s an impressive sight to behold, particularly when the fountain is fully operational, spouting water up to 8 meters high.

Other notable fountains in the park include the Children’s Fountain, which features whimsical animals and figures perfect for kids to splash around in, and the Japanese Garden Fountain, designed to represent the peacefulness of Japan’s traditional gardens.

Overall, Nordpark’s water fountains are a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Düsseldorf. Whether you’re looking to relax amid the soothing sound of water, take stunning photographs or catch a glimpse of the fountain’s dancing displays, you’ll find it all in this picturesque park.
